A businesswoman named Adeshina Olayinka, who was popularly known as Khadi on Instagram, was found dead at Wetland Hotel in Akobo, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
She had spent the night at the hotel with an unidentified man who later checked out. However, the man has since surrendered himself to the police after the death of Olayinka.
According to our reporter, the man is currently detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
The hotel staff revealed that they wouldn’t have known about Olayinka’s condition if not for a power bank lent to her by one of the receptionists.
The receptionist discovered that she was still breathing and immediately contacted the police. Unfortunately, she died before getting to the hospital.
The suspect was informed about the incident and he rushed down to the hotel to present himself to the police.
The police spokesperson, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed that investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided accordingly.
