Short man undergoes painful surgical procedure to increase height

Moses Gibson, a 41-year-old man from Minneapolis, Minnesota, has spent a total of $160,000 on two painful surgical procedures to increase his height by a total of five inches.

Moses, who stands at 5ft 5in, struggled with low self-esteem and confidence issues stemming from his height, which negatively impacted his dating life.

After trying medication and seeking help from a spiritual healer, he discovered a surgical procedure online that involved breaking bones and attaching limb-lengthening nails.

The first procedure in 2016 gained him three inches, and his most recent surgery in March cost $98,000 and aims to take him to his desired height of 5ft 10in.

He now has to use a height-lengthening device three times a day to pull his bones apart a millimetre at a time.

Despite the “really painful” surgeries, Moses said they have improved his confidence, ability to talk to women, and landed him a new girlfriend.
