In a recent development, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas has successfully secured the position of Speaker in the 10th House of Representatives. Hailing from the Zaria Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, Abbas garnered an impressive total of 353 votes, securing his victory in the intense Speakership election.
His fellow contenders, former Deputy Speaker Idris Wase and Sani Jaji, managed to obtain three votes apiece, falling short in their bid for the prestigious role.
It is noteworthy that Abbas emerged as the favored candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), further highlighting the support and confidence placed in him by the party.
