The Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr. Olamide Oladiji, expressed concern today after discovering an African magic ‘juju’ outside his official residence. Oladiji shared with reporters in Akure that since the initiation of the impeachment process against the state deputy governor, Mr. Lucky Ayedatiwa, lawmakers have been experiencing sleepless nights.
“This morning, we found a ritualistic offering placed at the residence. Additionally, I’ve been receiving ominous calls from unknown individuals threatening me and my colleagues. I want to make it clear that I rarely stay there, mainly using it for parliamentary meetings. The place needs significant renovations in its current state,” Oladiji stated.
“I want the world to know that my safety is at risk, and I implore security agencies to investigate these threats, which began when we initiated the impeachment process. I have already reported this to the NSCDC and other security authorities,” he added.
Oladiji also mentioned the House’s difficulty in serving the impeachment notice to Ayedatiwa, which has been ongoing since last week.
