On Wednesday, the veteran actor took to Instagram, making a heartfelt plea for financial support.
In response to the video of Ibu’s health struggles that circulated online, numerous individuals have come forward, offering donations to aid the ailing actor.
In a statement released on Friday through X, the foundation disclosed that “the complete medical expenses of Mr. Ibu have been fully covered as of Wednesday.”
The statement conveyed, “The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation is honored to have provided assistance to Mr. John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, a celebrated comedic icon who has graced our screens, bringing joy and laughter to countless households over the past four decades.”
“Upon learning of his recent health challenges and the associated financial burdens of his medical treatment, we felt a profound responsibility to lend our support in any way possible. We promptly settled his entire medical expenses as of Wednesday.”
