Residents of Garam, a border community between Niger State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), were gripped by fear as bandits on motorcycles, some armed with AK-47s, swords, and arrows, stormed the village seeking directions to Jere, a community in Kaduna State. Witnesses reported more than 100 bandits arriving in broad daylight, with each bike carrying three assailants. The following day, the bandits returned to raid houses for kidnappings, prompting residents to remain vigilant or flee their homes. Despite the terrifying ordeal, some were fortunate to escape harm, crediting their safety to divine intervention.
