The Federal Government has fully automated the evaluation and authentication of academic certificates, ending the need for applicants to visit the Federal Ministry of Education physically to access the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, announced the development on Tuesday, describing it as a major milestone in the government\u2019s digital transformation agenda and a step towards achieving the objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the new system, applicants can now complete the entire process of academic credential evaluation and authentication online through the ministry\u2019s dedicated platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ministry said the reform is aimed at eliminating bureaucratic bottlenecks, reducing processing time, improving transparency and making the service more accessible to Nigerians and applicants residing outside the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Alausa, the automated system will also strengthen the integrity and credibility of Nigeria\u2019s academic certification process by providing institutions, employers and other relevant stakeholders with a more structured and reliable mechanism for verifying academic qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister reaffirmed the ministry\u2019s commitment to leveraging technology to modernise education governance, improve institutional efficiency and deliver more citizen-centred services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Applicants seeking to evaluate or authenticate their academic credentials are advised to use the ministry\u2019s official platform at essverify.education.gov.ng<\/strong>.
