Transcorp Hilton Abuja has clarified reports of a water shortage at its facility, stating that the issue was limited to a one-day disruption caused by emergency maintenance works by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board.

In a statement issued on Friday, the hotel’s management confirmed that the temporary disruption occurred on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, but stressed that swift contingency measures were put in place to ensure uninterrupted service to guests.

“There was a one-day disruption in water supply resulting from emergency maintenance works,” the statement read. “Management promptly implemented contingency measures to maintain guest comfort and continued service throughout the period.”

The hotel also dismissed circulating social media claims suggesting a prolonged water shortage, describing them as “false and misleading.”

According to the statement signed by General Manager Martin Zarybnicky, full water supply was restored the following day, Wednesday, April 15, and has remained stable since.

“Contrary to these reports, water supply was fully restored on April 15, and the hotel has since maintained consistent and uninterrupted supply while operating at full capacity,” Zarybnicky said.

The management expressed appreciation to guests and stakeholders for their understanding, reiterating its commitment to maintaining high standards of hospitality and service delivery.
